D.S. CRAWFORD - Consultancy services to the Automotive Industry
This automotive engineering consultancy practice was established by David Crawford in 1985 following his early experience with the former Ladyacre Engineering Company and subsequent career as a college lecturer in automobile engineering.
In addition to his academic qualifications David was awarded the ‘Haskal Medal’ in 1979 by the Institute of Engineers for his papers on Rotary Engine development.
The centre of operations is located in Edinburgh, although instructions may be accepted for some other areas of the UK. Assignments are normally undertaken within 48 hours upon receipt of written instructions in respect of routine vehicle or mechanical failure inspection.
We provide impartial and totally independent advice and have no ties with vehicle suppliers, component manufacturers or vehicle manufacturing companies. We act only and exclusively on behalf of organisations that are seeking an un-biased opinion to their problems. We attach great importance to contract fidelity, reliability and meeting deadlines.
We are associated with the Retail Motor Industry Federation, International Automotive Technicians Network, Society of Expert Witnesses, Institution of Diagnostic Engineers, International Association of Auto Theft Investigators and the Institute of the Motor Industry.
We do not undertake car buyer or view to purchase assignments nor do we accept instructions on behalf of the general public.
